Rock Island Speed Test

Check your DSL or Dial-Up speed with Rock Island's own speed test server.

This speed applet works using the official java.com plugin! If you have not already done so, we recommend you install the java.com plugin.

The Microsoft JVM bundled with Internet Explorer, is NOT supported.

Rock Island TurboNet


When you first connect to the TurboNet system you will be prompted to enter your Username and Password.

You must use your full Rock Island email address as the username to properly connect. For example: jondoe@rockisland.com, for the password field use your dial-up password.

Windows System Requirements

  • Windows 98/ME/2000/XP
  • At least 25 MB of disk space
  • 32 MB of Memory (RAM)
Supported Web browser, including:
  • Internet Explorer 5.0 or later
  • Netscape 4.7 or later
  • Opera, Mozilla or Firefox
Some browsers may need to be configured manually.

To download the Macintosh Acceleration software hold down your "Control" key and click here then choose save to disk. Save the disk image to your Desktop.
